Hello again :)

tennessee-christian-march-4I rarely post more than once in a day but this is worth sharing!  Over the past couple weeks, the ELC has served as a donation center for Lenore’s Pantry’s coat drive.  I had the privilege of organizing it and bringing it to Lenore’s on Thursday.  We collected:

32 kids’ coats,  17 adult coats, 30 pairs of gloves/mittens, 19 kids’ hats, 10 hat and mitten
sets, 13 scarves, 2 pairs of boots, 2 pairs of snow pants, 2 pairs of shoes, and 2 pairs of heavy socks

Holy cow!  There was a generous amount of new items mixed with all good condition used items.  My heart is full knowing that these items will be so appreciated and needed in this cold winter weather.  Thank you so much for your generosity and caring hearts. Happy Holidays!

Busy week!

image1Good morning!  Things are busy this week, and not for just the obvious reasons!  We have the North Attleboro High School Chorus performing a holiday show for the kids on Tues at 10 am and 12:15.  Families are welcome!  Rooms 3, 5 and 6 will drum with Inner Rhythms on Wednesday.  Wednesday is also Pizza Night at Plainville House of Pizza!  Mention the ELC when you order and we will get a portion of the proceeds to put towards enrichment for the kids.  And lastly, we have an awesome new addition to the school store!  We are now selling a North logo winter beanie!  This knit hat is a one size fits most kids and they can grow into regardless of their next school in town.  Visit our school store to purchase or print the order form and send into school.  Sarah is ready to get them to you asap before this weekend’s holidays and vacation begins!  Happy holidays to you all!  I hope you are bettered prepared than me 🙂

Socks and Undies needed!

Mrs. Gaudette, our school nurse, has asked for any donations of socks and underwear to replenish her emergency stash for the kids.  If you are out on errands and can spare a few dollars to buy a pack  she would be grateful.  Let’s support our nurse who takes such good care of kiddos when they need a little extra love!

And a reminder to clean out that coat closet over the weekend and donate clean, unwanted items to Lenore’s Pantry.  A donation box is in the ELC lobby until 12/15.

THANK YOU!

Coat drive!

Please be on the look out for our Coat Drive flyer heading home tomorrow.  Now, until December 15th, the ELC is a drop point for new or gently used coats, hats, mittens, snow pants etc of all sizes for Lenore’s Pantry’s coat drive.  The will be distributing these items during their December food drop off on the 19th.  So clean out your coat closet and bring them to the ELC!  There will be a donation box in the lobby.  Thanks in advance for your help supporting those in need in our community!coatdrive_11-29-2016

Big THANKS!

What a wonderful chore I had today!  I had the pleasure to bring all the donations to Lenore’s Pantry today.  After two spirit days, we collected two giant, overflowing boxes plus several bags full of non-perishable food items and also $83.61!  And, in case you’re thinking, that’s an odd total, it’s because some of the kids donated some small change.  That by itself made me smile big but it all shows what a wonderful, generous ELC community we have.  The staff at Lenore’s was so thrilled and grateful.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Pizza night!

pizza-night

Tomorrow, Wednesday November 16th is ELC night st Plainville House of Pizza!  Just mention it when ordering all proceeds will go to ELC enrichment programs!

In other good news,  I am not on top of everything and told you all that wreath orders are due the 17th when they actually are not due until the 23rd!  So lots more time to browse and show your friends and family.  Send in the paper order form or click here to order online at our school store by November 23rd.

So go eat some pizza!  Well, tomorrow. Tomorrow eat pizza.  From Plainville House of Pizza to be exact 🙂
